Some super children were chosen as our ET dancers at our special Book Week assembly last Friday...can you find Sam and Kudzanai from Room 3?  What a super job, we were all proud.

BOOK WEEK- Reading is out of this world!

What an awesome week Book Week has been this year. We loved the theme "READING IS OUT OF THIS WORLD". We read the book Aliens Love Underpants and had lots of laughs. It is such a fun book. We used the book as motivation for writing alien stories.

The children did some great brainstorming about aliens to help them write.

The stories were fun!

We drew some awesome alien pictures.  

We made a great wall display of aliens, underwear and some of our descriptive writing.  

Kandinsky Circles

This week we have been hard at work combining our art focus of painting with our Te Reo focus of Nga Tae (colours). We used the work of Wassily Kandinsky as inspiration. We proudly showed off our art, while singing at the Kowhai Assembly on Friday.
